WE’RE HERE TO HELP YOU
At Second Chance Jobs, our mission is to empower at risk of homelessness & homeless veterans by providing comprehensive workforce development and support services that lead to sustainable employment opportunities. Through our Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP), we aim to address the unique challenges faced by veterans transitioning from homelessness to stability by offering job readiness training, career counseling, and personalized resources. We are committed to helping our heroes reclaim their independence, rebuild their careers, and reintegrate successfully into civilian life, ensuring they receive the respect, resources, and opportunities they deserve.
HVRP has two core objectives.
meaningful employment within the labor force
will address the complex problems facing homeless veterans.
Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP) is an employment-focused competitive Federal grant program, providing assistance to veterans experiencing homelessness to reach their full employment potential and obtain high-quality career outcomes. HVRP supports veteran job seekers as they confront and overcome the barriers that prevent them from finding and retaining employment.
Our Why
Second Chance Jobs has served hundreds of veterans. Veteran employment is a keystone in our mission. Director, Deborah Slaven, is passionate about serving those who have served our country. Deborah's family is full of veteran stories from the Navy, Army and Air Force. The HVRP grant is one of the ways Second Chance Jobs is able give back to our veterans and support them on their journey to self sufficiency through gainful employment.
