This position services 6 counties of South Carolina. (Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson). Responsibilities include supporting veterans with career related services including resume preparation and review, elevator speech and interview skills, coaching through the hiring process, employment, retention and advancement opportunities. Candidates will work closely with participants and their employers to support gainful, successful employment for veteran and employers. Coaches will participate in career fairs, business and employment events, meetings, job fairs, training and employment services as well as the Second Chance Jobs Case Management Team to assist veteran participants in developing the skills to find and retain employment.

  • PT 1099 Opportunity
  • Salary $30,000 annually
  • Associate's Degree or Better

Skills qualified candidates should possess:

  • Candidates should have experience in teaching adults, coaching, mentoring, volunteering, life coach or

        related field

  • Flexibility in work schedule
  • Strong dedication to helping people find, secure and enjoy retention in their careers
  • Must have skills in Microsoft programs word and exel
  • Strong communication - written and oral




Second Chance Jobs HVRP Outreach Director

This position services 6 counties of South Carolina. (Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson). The Outreach Director connects, develops and maintains relationships with Second Chance Jobs HVRP (Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program) to community partners, non profits, employers, resources, and wrap around services. The position also sources eligible veterans for HVRP services, helps determine program eligibility and works closely with the Case Management Team to provide support, resources and referrals for services to support veterans participating in the Second Chance Jobs HVRP. Other responsibilities include participating in fundraising events, community events, Stand Downs, speaking engagements, sharing information about the program through in person, phone, email and online meeting methods.  Attention to detail, follow up, reporting, communication and computer skills are essential.


  • PT 1099 Opportunity
  • Salary $25,000 annually
  • Associate's Degree or Better

Second Chance Jobs HVRP Case Management Director

This position services 6 counties of South Carolina. (Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson). The Case Management Director supports veteran participants, determines eligibility for participation, ensures case files are compliant and records are updated regularly, follows up with referrals to services and holds team meetings on veteran participants, their status, updates, and needs.
